Quartz countertops

QUEENS MODERN / MATERIAL & DESIGN GUIDE

What affects quartz countertop cost in Queens?

A useful countertop price covers the finished project: your selected quartz, the measured layout, fabrication and installation. We quote that scope individually. Send room photos and approximate dimensions to start; final pricing follows the confirmed material and measurements.

FabricationTemplating, seams, edges, sink cutouts and faucet holes. The cutting and finishing work depends on your layout.

BacksplashHeight, length, corners, outlets and finish.A full-height slab needs more material than a short upstand.

Square-foot pricing is a starting point.

For an approximate rectangular surface area, multiply length in inches by depth in inches and divide by 144. For example, a 120-inch by 25.5-inch run is 21.25 square feet. A separate 72-inch by 36-inch island adds 18 square feet, giving 39.25 square feet of horizontal surface.

That is an area example, not a price or slab-order calculation. Backsplashes, waterfall sides, overlaps at corners, pattern placement and fabrication waste must be considered separately. Sink cutouts do not automatically reduce the amount of slab needed.

Why two white quartz quotes can differ.

“White quartz” describes a broad palette. A quiet white, a fine Carrara-style pattern and a dramatic Calacatta-style vein may come from different ranges. Ask each supplier to identify the actual product before comparing totals.

Then compare the same edge, backsplash height and installation scope. A lower material-only number cannot tell you what the completed countertop will cost. Keep optional upgrades itemized so you can decide where they matter.

What to send for your countertop estimate.

Send a photo of each counter run, a simple sketch with approximate lengths and depths, and a photo or name of your preferred quartz. Add the sink model if known, any island or waterfall dimensions and whether the existing counters need removal.

For a Queens co-op or condo, include known delivery and work-hour requirements. We review final access and scope with the project plan. Fabrication requires verified measurements and the selected sink and appliance specifications.

Keep cabinetry and stone in one plan.

If you are replacing cabinets too, compare a cabinets-and-quartz package with your stone-only scope. Cabinet height, level, finished panels and appliance locations need to be settled before the final countertop template.

Our $300 on-site design consultation brings the room assessment, measurements, design portfolio and written estimate together. The full fee is credited toward your kitchen contract with us. You can review the consultation details before choosing that service.

Before you choose.

Can you give an exact installed price per square foot online?
We provide an itemized project quote after reviewing the selected material and scope. A single published rate would leave out choices such as waterfall ends, backsplash coverage, cutouts and access.
Does a 10 × 10 kitchen have 100 square feet of countertop?
No. The room’s floor area is different from countertop area. Measure the actual counter runs and any island; then account for backsplash and vertical panels separately.
Can I buy quartz with cabinets and use my own installer?
Yes. Tell us who is handling cabinet installation so delivery, readiness for templating and stone installation can be coordinated. Your written quote identifies each team’s scope.
Do waterfall countertops cost more?
A waterfall adds a vertical stone panel and fabrication work. The actual increase depends on panel dimensions, material quantity, vein alignment, edge construction and installation.
