Our project managers are familiar with NYC DOB compliance and the requirements of co-op boards, condo boards and property management companies. We begin by reviewing your building’s alteration agreement, renovation rules and required documentation.
Our team has secured approval to work in every building where we have been hired to date—a 100% building-approval track record. We read alteration agreements early to anticipate hurdles, develop workable solutions with management and plan the details before work begins.

A lasting kitchen starts with the condition of your home. We bring specialist thermal imaging and moisture instruments to every in-home estimate and design consultation, making this inspection part of our planning from the start.
Look beyond the finishes.
Thermal imaging helps flag temperature patterns for closer review. Moisture readings and a visual inspection help identify damp areas and signs of water damage in accessible parts of the project space.
Find the source.
When we find signs of leaks, persistent moisture or possible mold, we discuss the next investigation and the underlying cause before planning to cover the area with new cabinetry or finishes.
Plan the correction.
We document the findings and agree on any further assessment, drying or repair work in your written scope. Corrective work is priced separately unless expressly included in your contract.
Build on sound conditions.
Addressing moisture problems before installation helps protect your investment and supports a kitchen or bathroom designed for years of everyday use.
This is a non-invasive inspection of accessible areas. Thermal images and moisture readings alone cannot confirm or rule out mold or reveal every concealed condition. Further specialist assessment may be needed.

Choose full service to bring design, materials, installation, plumbing and electrical work into one coordinated plan. Dream Homes Designs, Wrench Works Plumbing Co. and Renaissance Electrical Company work together to facilitate your kitchen or bathroom renovation.
One team coordinates the schedule and the details between trades, with clear communication from the first layout to the finishing touches. Hardware and our proprietary under-cabinet lighting can be included in your project.

Our custom, proprietary under-cabinet lighting is positioned along the bottom front of the cabinet and angled back across the countertop toward the backsplash.
Developed to distribute light more evenly across both surfaces, it helps reduce worktop shadows and distracting glare—bringing your stone, backsplash and preparation space into clearer view.

Our plumbing and electrical teams assess existing conditions before the layout and appliance selections are finalized. Necessary upgrades become part of a coordinated project plan.
WRENCH WORKS PLUMBING CO.
Check the valves and supply lines.
We check existing shutoff valves and plan replacements for worn, leaking or unreliable valves. We look for galvanized supply piping and assess sections that need replacement, then review the refrigerator water connection for plastic tubing.
Our standard is copper for the new water-supply piping we install, including refrigerator supply lines, with connections matched to the appliance requirements. Agreed replacements are included in the written scope, and new connections are checked for leaks before handover.
RENAISSANCE ELECTRICAL COMPANY
First, review the panel.
We assess the existing panel, available breaker spaces, service capacity and planned appliance loads before designing the kitchen circuits. This determines whether the existing system can support the renovation or whether panel or service upgrades are needed.
We plan the required countertop circuits, dedicated appliance circuits, lighting and applicable GFCI/AFCI protection around the actual kitchen and current NYC requirements. The final circuit count is specific to your appliances and layout.

Measure, design, approve.
We begin with your room measurements and finish with a final design meeting at the showroom. Approve the cabinet schedule, appliance specifications, finish selections and itemized scope before ordering.
Deliver, install, template.
Choose installation by Dream Homes or your own installer. Once cabinetry is installed and ready, the stone team templates the counters and backsplash. Our typical target is installation about four days after templating, subject to stone availability, fabrication and the confirmed project schedule.
