It is the stated overall flooring thickness, not the wear-layer rating. We confirm whether the manufacturer includes the attached pad in that figure.
What determines durability?
Wear layer, surface coating, core construction, locking system, installation and approved use all matter. Thickness alone does not establish scratch resistance or commercial suitability.
Is it waterproof or pet friendly?
Many vinyl ranges offer water and everyday-wear resistance. We confirm the exact product’s rating and warranty. No flooring is scratch proof, and a waterproof plank does not waterproof the entire room.
Does the attached pad make it quieter?
An attached pad can contribute to comfort and sound control. Building approval depends on tested results for the full floor assembly; ask for the selected product’s acoustic data.
How is the floor prepared?
The installer reviews flatness, moisture, finished height, expansion allowances and transitions using the selected manufacturer’s instructions. Attached underlayment does not replace subfloor preparation.
Can it go over existing or heated floors?
That depends on the existing surface, moisture and selected product. We check the installation guide and heating limits before confirming the plan.
How do I care for vinyl?
Sweep or vacuum with an appropriate hard-floor setting, wipe spills promptly and use an approved pH-neutral cleaner. Use furniture protectors and lift heavy objects. Avoid abrasive cleaners and steam unless the manufacturer permits them.
What is included in my estimate?
Flooring, measured quantity, agreed waste allowance and specified trim are itemized. Removal, preparation, delivery and installation are included only when listed in your written quote.
